Black History Month Postcards Freebie
Are you always stumped for ways to incorporate Black History Month into your already jam-packed curriculum-filled day?

Black History Month is so important that we need to find a way to squeeze it no matter what.

If you watch the video below, you will see how I combined famous African Americans, along with a fun Target $1 item! (Note: the colors of the cards in the video are off-kilter because the ink was running out on my printer, but I assure you that the file colors are perfect.)
To use the file below:
Download and edit in either Powerpoint or Google Slides.
After adding your custom text and images, print each page (cardstock will work best if you plan on using the cards multiple years).
Cut the cards horizontally so the front and back are on one piece.
Then, fold the card on the vertical line.
Use double sided tape or a laminator to keep the card closed.

Have students create the cards and then pair up students to see if they can guess who it is. Students then trade cards. Continue for several rounds. This would be a great way to combine cooperative learning and interesting facts about famous African Americans at the same time! #win-win
