It is standardized testing week.  We also have benchmarking assessments due.  Students are off-the-wall because the first hints of warmer Spring weather have arrived.  And I just remembered that I need some celebrate Earth Day activities for April 22 as it is now Wednesday and I’m almost out of time.

Do you think I can just mention our upcycled flash card containers in passing?  No.  Earth Day discussions are important.  But, I need something – and quick…

With all the craziness that is a classroom schedule, finding quick and fun earth day activities for elementary students can be challenging to say the least.

25 Earth Day activities for elementary students

With all the craziness that is a classroom schedule in the spring, finding quick, yet thorough and fun earth day activities for kids can be challenging to say the least.

When your lesson plans don’t really have time nor space for art projects, crafts, or decorations, you just may be able to squeeze it in during math time – or use a read aloud to discuss during your reading block.

A great way to show students how to reuse and upcycle materials!  Plus, it’s a cool way to recycle all those leftover broken crayon bits in your crayon bins before the end of the year.  Look at you being prepared and already cleaning up spaces before the end of the year rush arrives!  {As a side note:  I am NOT crafty at all and I adore how these actually look like mini Earths.}

Would you like a STEM Packet that includes a set of STEM project dice, two page student journal for completing the steps in their project, and four pages of brag bands to print off and have students show off to important others in their life?

STEM activities are being used in classrooms everywhere.  Next time a student asks "when will I use this in the real world?" you will have it covered.
